Shopping In City: Looking For Cute Summer Things + Why Are They Selling Long Sleeves?
Now you guys know I am no shopaholic but I do love browsing the aisles from time to time! Most days I am not looking for anything in particular, I just like to let my eyes lead the way! Ha! I must admit that sometimes this method does get me into a lot of trouble BUT it has lead me to a few hidden gems as well! I am a firm believer that sometimes you have to let go of your ways and just fo with the flow when it comes to shopping. I used to get so overwhelmed when it came to looking for outfits and accessories but now I can literally build an entire wardrobe with my eyes closed.
Like for instance, as soon as a laid my eyes on these beautiful leopard printed shoes I knew I had to have them! I don't care what anyone says but anything leopard or cheetah print is considered a basic and can make anything in your wardrobe pop! As soon as I saw these I knew I had to have them because it is pretty hard to come across this type of print after a certain time of the year! I have a nice pair of cheetah printed boots for Fall/Winter seasons and I think that this is the perfect pair to wear during the summertime! I know to look at them from the display you may wonder "girl what are you going to do with those" well stick around to find out next week!
Oh and let me tell you a little secret....the clearance rack has some of the best items in the store! I used to be the type of girl that would only buy "the latest" off the market but now I wait until it's marked down and on the clearance rack before I even consider purchasing it! Clothes can get crazy expensive and I would always recommend the more affordable route before I spend $105 on a dress! Don't be afraid to browse those clearance racks, girl, because there are definitely a few hidden gems that are waiting to be purchased and worn by YOU!
Now when it comes to accessories, I don't like to shop at just any ole place! I can't stand a flimsy pair of sunglasses of rings that will eventually turn my fingers green ewww! That is why I always opt to purchase from my favorite places such as Target, Altar'd State and Francessca's! Those little places never let me down and their pieces always last a very long time. I also like that they offer unique jewelry as well and I don't have to worry about rocking the same thing as someone else!
And can we talk about why the stores are selling anything that has long sleeves The last time I checked it was one million degrees outside and we are all under a heat advisory! UMM No, I think I'll pass! Though you may be thinking "wouldn't it be kinda smart to start shopping for Fall clothes"? And the answer is....if you live in Texas.... NO! Ha! We all know it's not going to feel remotely cool until Halloween so there's no need to start stocking up on ya scarves yet! Lol! 40% off may sound tempting but it's still not worth it!! Let's just keep enjoying summer for all that it's worth and Fall will be here before you know it! *fingers crossed*
When it comes to shopping, I love to buy what I want and wear what I love! Style is personal and if you like it then I LOVE it! I know how hard it is to find things that will match your own persona but with enough practice, you will definitely get the hang of it! As a matter of fact, I think I have evolved into a new type of style this summer that I am absolutely loving! I feel like it's a mix of Texan vibes and Louisiana Gal swirl!
