Green Polka Dots And Thrifted Finds
Hey guys and welcome to a brand new blog post! I am just popping on here to chat about this cute green dress that I thrifted recently and how I am currently super obsessed with it! I'm not gonna lie, it has been pretty difficult finding nice pieces during this crazy time in the world but I feel like the good Lord was looking after me when He placed this polka-dotted gem into my life!
I recently decided to peep into the thrift stores to see what gems they had and surprisingly I had no luck! It wasn't until I entered the last store is when my eyes landed on the most PERFECT green dress I ever saw! Strangely enough, I wasn't going to buy it because I don't have very much green in my wardrobe but I thought today would be a great day to change all of that! As soon as I picked the dress off the rack and examined it fully I already knew this little beauty was coming home with me! I was taking a risk by not trying this on but that's pretty much what you have to do nowadays because you can't use any of the dressing rooms in the stores at the moment.
Anyways, I decided to take a chance on this dress and take it home with me. As soon as I laid the dress on the counter the clerk told me I had found a nice little hidden gem! I couldn't have agreed more and it just made me even more excited for the purchases that I chose for the day.
I came home, washed my dress, and laid it out to air dry back into its perfect shape! Fun fact, I NEVER EVER put my thrifted finds in the dryer! I know for a fact that you can increase the quality of clothes if you just let them air dry straight and iron them as soon as possible! It's the only way I treat my clothes and I can honestly say that I get sooooo much more more wear and longevity out of them!
I decided to pair my new green dress with my thrifted brown shoes and handbag! I also decided to keep my jewelry simple by wearing my small gold rings, gold bracelet, and my turquoise blue earrings! This dress already stands out and I didn't want to overpower it with accessories so I am pretty sure I made the right choices here! In the Fall I am looking forward to styling this dress with denim jackets and mustard yellow tones! I don't know why I never introduced green into my wardrobe but now I am excited to do so!
