With And Without The Jacket
I'm not gonna lie, winter is not my most favorite month. As a matter of fact, I'm ready for it to go away!!
I say this only because my little bones cannot keep up with the way the weather changes up around here. I also hate to admit that I am not the craziest about getting dressed during this season either. I honestly feel like I can never get it right when it comes to the layers and such. I often find myself leaning towards more sweatshirts and sweatpants for a perfect night out. But we all know that as a 28-year old that I cannot walk around the city looking like I am on barely making it boulevard all the time! Right?
Of course, I'm right! Winter may be the hardest month to dress for but there is no reason to walk around here looking crazy all the time! That is why I have decided to style my favorite summer dress with some of my go-to winter accessories! As many of you may know, you can never go wrong with owning a good pair of tights/leggings! They will literally change the entire look of the outfit in an instant! The pair that I have on in the photo above are from Target and I love them! They feel very comfortable and I love the fact that they aren't too sheer or see through! During the winter time, it is very important to look for the thicker styled ones so that you can feel a bit warmer when you wear dresses, skirts, and shorts....trust me, the thicker they are the warmer you'll be!
I also decided to add these cute little booties into the mix as well! I didn't want to overdress because the weather switches back and forth a lot so the smaller ones worked just fine for the occasion! I also purchased these little booties from Target as well and I wear them with every Fall/Winter outfit I own!
And last but not least, you are not living your best life if you don't own a denim jacket! And if you're from the country then you will most likely refer to this as a jean jacket! Ha! Just know that I have several of these beauties and I will literally wear one during any time of the year! Anyways, I purchased this one from the thrift store for only $6 and you better believe I have been styling this jacket with everything in my closet, including this outfit that I have on today. I feel like the jean jacket just brings the entire outfit together and I am ready to take on the town for the evening! Ha! I believe any outfit that makes you feel fabulous and comfortable is a big win for me! I have learned that keeping up with the latest fashions are a hassle and I feel most confident when I pick and wear things that I know I'll love! I think I have gotten better with the looks that I choose during the colder months and now I'm wondering what do you guys like to wear in the winter?
