Shreveport Louisiana Foodie Files:  Mardi Gras Cakes, Coffee, And Candy Apples!
Hi guys! I thought I would pop on the blog today and share what I have been up to lately! First things first, I recently went back to my hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana and you better believe I ate ALOT!!
I never knew I missed all of that good food until I stepped back into the boot! Ha! Anyways, one of the first things I decided to cop was my Community Coffee in the flavor, Mardi Gras! When I tell you this coffee tastes so amazing I am almost mad that I only bought two bags! I wish they sold these flavors here in Texas but for now, I will just savor the ones that I have and try to make another trip out there to grab a bag before Mardi Gras season ends!

And speaking of Mardi Gras season you already KNOW I had to get that King Cake while I was out there! When you're in Louisiana, King cake tastes amazing no matter where you buy it! I decided to bring one back home so that I can relish in all of its glory and you better believe it did not disappoint! I really wish I could have brought home five of them but I wasn't trying to have all of my teeth fall out from the crazy amount of sugar! Lol!

And you know I had to stop at a new spot and grab some homemade waffles with strawberries, bananas and whipped cream! Yum! Even breakfast food tastes better in Louisiana because they cook everything with extra sugar, butter, and love! Ha!

And last but not least I attended a wedding and they gave us homemade candy apples and I have been thinking about them ever since! This apple was soooo pretty I almost didn't want to cut it BUT my taste buds got the best of me and I ended up eating it as soon as I arrived at the hotel! #totallyworthit

Anyways, I thought I would just pop on and share a few of my foodie favorites from my trip! Stay tuned for more posts on what I got up to, outfits and much more! See ya tomorrow!
