When Making Plans Throw Off The Plans + Four Reasons Why Its Ok To Start Again!
Whew, chile, we are already halfway through January and I already feel like I just can't keep up! If you are feeling the same way then I suggest you keep reading this post because I got a few things that I want to get off my chest and I DON'T plan on holding back either!
When Making Plans Throw Off The Plans + Four Reasons Why Its Ok To Start Again In 2020I
Ok so, I am not gonna lie, January did get off to an amazing start, however, life just kept on happening and I was starting to just give up already! I have found that every time I made some type of plans, something either came up, or I just had to move it out of the way so that I could be more responsible. At first, this was ruining my thoughts on being productive but I decided to just open my planner and do what I do best, reschedule and change things around to fit my current lifestyle. One of my main goals this year was to be stress-free so when I started to notice that I would get a little frazzled when things didn't go as planned, I decided to take a step back from it all and really reevaluate the whether it was worth getting upset over or not! SPOILER ALERT: it wasn't! Now that I was done having a mini Carey meltdown, I decided to get back to business and just start again! You don't have to wait until the New Year to get your goals in order and it's definitely OK to mess up and start from the beginning! I am realizing that I don't have to be too hard on myself (hello perfectionist) and just roll with the punches! It may have taken me a bit too long to come to this conclusion but better late than never right?

"I thought I would end my closing statements with 5 reasons why it's ok to start again"!
  • Sometimes you just NEED to! You guys, it is OK to go back to the drawing board! A lot of times society puts soooo much pressure on us to keep pushing towards something that clearly isn't working and sometimes you just need to reroute the situation to have a better outcome!
  • Respect yourself enough to know when it's ok to let it go and revisit the vision on different terms! Whether that means you take a break and come back to it, or decided to just take a rest, just know it's ok to give yourself some time to breathe.
  • It's ok to QUIT! Y'all, I have let somethings and goals go and I feel better already! Sometimes a time limit can be really stressful and there is nothing wrong with walking away from a goal that is causing you stress!
  • And last but not least, it is ok to ask for HELP! I am a "Do It Myself" type of gal but lately I have been having moments where I need a little guidance and I am realizing that that is perfectly normal! Just surround yourself with people who will give you the best advice and pray for the best!
