A Summer Filled With Love

Hey guys and welcome to a brand new blog post. You know how this goes, I do some flimsy introduction and then I’ll get ghost for another 6 months. Well, guess what? I’M JUST A GIRL lol…. anyways, I am 34 years old so it’s not like I can use THAT as an excuse for much longer. Ok, ok ok, let’s skip over the small talk and jump right into this little post shall we? As you can see, my sweet little honeybun is the opener for this post. My son and I have had the most magical summer together and I am so glad I was able to document it and make so many amazing memories with him today.

One of my favorite moments was taking him to the Superman exhibit. I know, I know — he’s only 8 months old, so technically he doesn’t know Clark Kent from his own bottle, but you should’ve seen him. The bright colors, the lights, the larger-than-life statues — his little eyes were darting around like he was trying to take it all in at once. He laughed, he cooed, he kicked his tiny feet every time Superman’s cape swooshed across the display. And honestly? Watching his joy made me feel like a kid again too.

There’s something about experiencing the world with your baby that makes everything hit differently. It’s like you’re seeing it all for the first time, but through their eyes. I used to think being a mom would mean giving up so many of those fun little adventures, but it’s actually the opposite. Now everything feels ten times more special because I get to share it with him. Whether it’s a silly exhibit, a day at the park, or even just dancing around the living room, I’m soaking it all up because he’s here.

Motherhood is hard (let’s not pretend it’s not), but it’s also the sweetest, most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. This summer with him has been one for the books — filled with smiles, drool, chubby hands reaching for everything, and my heart swelling in ways I didn’t even know it could.

So yeah, maybe I’ll disappear again for 6 months (lol, let’s be real), but at least when I pop back in, I’ll have even more sweet memories to share. Until then, just know this: I love being a mom, and I love every single adventure we get to go on together — even if it’s just a baby’s first Superman exhibit.

Your long time friend,

Sha’Carey
