Ride The Wave And Accept The Challenges As They Come
Cozy Study Spaces And Figuring Out My Life
Hello and happy Friyaaaaay everyone! I don't know about you guys but I am very happy that I made it to the weekend! I have a lot of catching up to do in my personal life so I am very glad that the work week has passed and I can focus on myself for a second. It says that it's going to storm really bad around here this weekend and I am not mad about it. I actually am looking forward to the rain because I feel like it makes me a bit more productive. Growing up I used to despise the rain because I always felt like it ruined my day but now I wish it would rain more often so that I can enjoy the best sleep and watch Netflix. I guess you never realize how much you start to appreciate things until you look at it in a different context. I am hoping that it pours down most of the day so that I can sit down and relax. I don't know about anyone else but this girl needs a little "self-care" day to recharge my mind and body. I don't think that there is anything going on, in particular, I just feel like I worked EXTRA hard this week and now my body is telling me to slow down and enjoy life a bit more. Sometimes it is hard to slow down when you're in a season of figuring things out career-wise. I mean, I already know what I want to do it's just executing it has seemed harder than I thought it would be. This is why I absolutely NEED this weekend so that I can stop overthinking my entire life! Navigating life post-grad has been a real headbanger but I am trying to ride the wave and accept the challenges as they come. Sometimes you just gotta let go and let God do His thing and that's what I am going to do from this day forward! Not that I don't let God have control, it's just sometimes I like to do my own thing! I just can't help it! Ha!

Anyways, I thought I would take this lovely Friday and spend it with myself. Strangely enough, I thought it would be the perfect evening to make a little bit of warm tea before I hopped into some light studying. For a while now I have been drinking tea at night instead of coffee because it makes me feel calm and relaxed instead of jittery and full of energy. I have found that if I want to fall asleep easier that it's best to stay away from caffeine and sugar right before bed. Tea is often times very soothing and helps my mind relax. Sometimes by the end of the day/week, I often feel a little frazzled and it's nights like these that always make me appreciate the small moments in life. As a matter of fact, I think I'll share a few things I am thankful for at this moment in time right now.
Small Moment Of Gratefulness
  • Being able to finally be in my bed after a very long week! Who would have thought that a pillow and fresh sheets could make one so happy?
  • Literally, this yummy tea that I am about to devour!
  • The rain that is about to our among us.
  • New shows to watch on Netflix and a possible Twilight Saga marathon! Hey, don't judge me!
  • The soothing music playing in the background as I am typing my blog post.
"Yes, these are all things I am super grateful for right now and I am just happy to be in this moment"

Sometimes it's about the small things and you have to look at the bigger picture when the end result has passed. There's is no need in trying to control every ounce of life because all it does is stress you out in the end. I don't know about you guys but I cannot stand to be stressed over things that I have no control over. I'm just saying all of this because this week was the longest week of my life BUT I made it through with all of my goals accomplished! #SLAY! There is always a light at the end of the tunnel if we all just keep pushing towards it! That is why I have decided to come straight home and get ready to study for a little while before bed. Trust me, I don't want to do it but If I'm going to spend the next three hours watching movies then I may as well spend a few minutes working towards my own personal goals for the year. So here I am, with my computer popped onto my desk and ready to dive into the worlds quickest study session.

Ya'll, I think studying has become truly therapeutic for me. I really love sitting at my desk, going over material and trying to teach myself something new. Every time I do this I always know I am on the right path in life. It may be taking me a little longer to get there but all that matters is that I arrive at my destination. Life isn't a race and once you realize that, you'll slow down and enjoy the ride. #bestlife

Anyways, that's my little ramble for the night. This post probably went in 85,000 directions but sometimes things just need to be said. Well, signing off on the blog for the weekend, as always, I'll see ya Monday! Enjoy the weekend!

Always Living and Forever Learning,
